Autodesk Maya Certified Professional

Autodesk Maya allows artists to bring convincing characters to life, with realistic motion weight-based animation and physics, in addition to lighting, texturing and rendering. Autodesk Maya delivers a comprehensive creative feature set with tools for animation, modeling, simulation, rendering, matchmoving, and compositing on a highly extensible production platform. For visual effects, game development, postproduction, or other 3D animation projects, Maya offers tool sets to help meet demanding production requirements. Maya includes tools that help facilitate parallel work flows and complexity handling; powerful new creative tool sets; and productivity enhancements to help you create higher quality content quickly.

Course description

This course provides contemporary, integrated 3D modeling, animation, rendering, and compositing tools that allows artists and designers to do great work more quickly than ever. Targeted to animation designers, visualization specialists, architects, and engineers, this course empowers you to create models and animation right from scratch.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for recent graduates and working adults in the design industry, including 3D visualizers, 3D artists, architects, interior designers, architectural visual producers — in other words, any 3D animator working in the fields of engineering, advertising, graphic and creative content design who want to brush up his/her skills. After completing this course, you’ll be able to produce more realistic scenes and animations for the purposes of presentation, instructional and visual messaging content.

What will you get out of this course?

After completing this course, you’ll be able to model, texture, rig and animate 3D objects in 3D workspace using Autodesk Maya, in order to achieve the workflow of 3D production in accordance with industry requirements.

The course will help you develop the ability to:
  • Use image reference to model, texture, rig and animate an object
  • Create controllers for the rigged object
  • Identify, understand and apply the principles of animation
  • Create motion path animation
  • Mimic real life lighting into Maya
  • Apply dynamics to create automated animation
  • Differentiate the attributes in various camera types
  • Run basic scripts
  • Render images in passes
  • Use build-in render node to composite render passes
